NOCTUM Signs With METAL BLADE RECORDS
August 15, 2011Metal Blade Records has announced the signing of Swedish occult rockers NOCTUM.
NOCTUM was formed in September 2009 by Tobias Rosn (bass),David Indelf (vocals/guitar) and Gustaf Heinemann (drums) during the growing of the globally well-known classic rock scene inspired by the late '60s and '70s. After a short while Per Wikstrm (guitar) came along.
In October of 2009 they recorded their first songs and after only two weeks they signed with the German record label High-Roller Records for the release of their full-length debut. The resulting effort, "The Sance", was laid down in less than 24 hours at Studio Oblivion and was issued through High-Roller Records (vinyl) and Stormspell Records (CD) in September 2010.
With a new album out and great criticism from papers/promoters worldwide, NOCTUM decided to make its first trip to Germany for a couple of dates in April 2011. After their first tour, they went into the studio once again to record the upcoming EP, "The Fiddler", including two brand new tracks and one classic PENTAGRAM cover, "Lazy Lady".
Commented NOCTUM: "We're very pleased to announce a new chapter in NOCTUM's history! We have now signed a worldwide record deal with one of the leading record labels, Metal Blade Records! We're thrilled to work with such experienced people people who started out as regular tape-traders back in the days and worked their way to the top among thousands of labels. People who have managed to stick around and keep the fire burning, stronger than ever before. This is a new beginning, Stay tuned."
NOCTUM recently parted ways with guitarist Per Wikstrm and is currently seeking a replacement.
NOCTUM is:
David Indelf (Vocals/Guitar)
Tobias Rosn (Bass)
